I am coloring my life by making my colors.

Solo Exhibition 2025 – The Distance Between Me And Myself Part 1

During a week-long journey of performance art in Chai Wan, KONG walked along a fixed path, guided by the sunrise and sunset times provided by the meteorological observatory. The transitions of dawn and dusk symbolize the passage of life. At the outset of KONG’s walk, the streets were sparsely populated, as if the world still lingered in slumber. As the sun ascended, the streets gradually bustled with life, more and more people emerging from their homes, weaving together the rhythm of existence. By the time KONG completed the route, although dusk had not fully settled, the vibrancy of the streets was palpable.

Throughout this journey, KONG covered 309 kilometres, taking 515,891 steps. It felt as if KONG had entered an infinite cycle, retracing the same path time and again. Each loop became a microcosm of life, encapsulating the significance of effort. The essence of exploration lies in the experience of every step; success is not the sole determinant of meaning. Is a life’s meaningfulness measured by the ends, or can it also be measured through the means?
